At Sophos Counseling & Consulting Services LLC, we offer personalized telehealth counseling to support individuals and couples in navigating their mental health challenges. Our services are designed to promote healing, growth, and emotional well-being.

Our goal is to help individuals heal, leveraging each client’s inner strength and resilience. We offer evidence-based intervention through a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, trauma-focused CBT, mindfulness, stress reduction, and guided imagery. From the first interaction, we provide a culturally sensitive lens in our work with clients, ensuring a neutral, safe, and calming environment.

Who We Serve

Sophos Counseling & Consulting Services, LLC specializes in providing therapy to adults and couples dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. We are also trained and experienced with addressing the specific needs of our servicemembers (active duty, reservists, and veterans). Whether you’re seeking support for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, we are here to help. We offer services via telehealth to clients in Arizona and Maryland, ensuring accessibility for those who need it most.

Meet Our Founder

Expert and Professional

Ernestine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida International University, a Master of Social Work degree from Catholic University of America, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in International Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Over the past 15 years, she has worked in various mental health settings, including clinics and non-profit organizations. Ernestine also brings experience from working with government agencies and major insurance companies.

Using a strengths-based approach, Ernestine works collaboratively with each client to define their clinical goals and implement a solution-focused lens to help achieve their desired outcome. Her approach focuses heavily on gaining a greater understanding of the unique needs of each client and the recognition of resiliency in everyone. Ernestine’s clinical background includes working with chronically ill adults within the outpatient mental health setting, as well as at-risk youths, young adults, couples, and veterans in the private practice space. Ernestine specializes in chronic mental illness and complex trauma. Her research on Historical Trauma is representative of her passion for working with survivors of trauma.

Ernestine values and promotes diversity and inclusion, identifying as belonging to several minority and underserved populations. She has a passion for creating an open and safe space for under-represented clients. Her work includes a special focus on the unique challenges faced by those individuals and the cultural milieu potentially influencing the phenomenon they face. When not working, Ernestine enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and expanding her palate through her own cooking or by exploring many of the restaurants around her.
